Mourning the loss.
This plan has many challenges, to which I have risen with more courage than qualms. No more carbs, no anything processed, no meat, no butter.
But the most difficult of all? No coffee.
I've heard it takes three weeks to break your system of coffee/caffeine-dependency. I've also heard the benefits of Hallelujah are better than coffee: freeing up the energy your body uses to digest food. (Doesn't anorexia do the same thing?)
But I'm not breaking. I know coffee would slow the process of detoxification - which, ultimately is a process that will rid me of the need for caffeine's energy. What I'm going for here is nutrient energy, not chemical.
I've had two cups of green tea with honey (Stash loose leaf tea steeped in a French Press).
Lunch today was a bit of a cheat: Pei Wei Spicy Korean Vegetables and Tofu over brown rice.
