Trevecca Nazarene High School.
About last week's post (yes, the one in which I claimed I would soon be assuming my roll as a member of ASB Executive Committee), let's just not make something of the fact that I spelled roll without the e. Funny how things can just slip past the spell checker. Hey, I did assume a roll in Trevecca's Apple Dining Room last week. That counts.
The Top Nazarene Talented have breached our walls, polluted our sidewalks and exhausted our food supply. Trevecca hosts a talent competition for Nazarene youth this week. The ratio of high school to college students now rests at 3:1.
I purchased The Best of Sixpence None the Richer, a record most worthy of its going price, on my way out of Monroe, North Carolina. You need to get this record, Sixpence's farewell project, even if only for the pleasure of hearing Leigh Nash sing Kiss Me in Japanese.
I was at work this afternoon distributing coupons for the new Pledge Multi Surface cleaner when a middle-aged woman started distributing samples of the Publix meal of the week. She was a sampling enthusiast, and her energy was contagious as she proclaimed the wonders of her product. Her sales pitch was simple: "I have something good over here! You should try it!" At times this phrase was delivered in musical form, complete with vibrato. Her shouts were accompanied by Motown music, provided by a small stereo that was probably her own. How could you not try it? She lacked dignity and professionalism, but her enthusiasm attracted droves of Publix shoppers to her booth, leaving me with little sales and a lesson learned. Enthusiasm covers that proverbial multitude of sins.

Ohhh Thew Lovell... please post on xanga... it's so much easier for the rest of us.
I miss you so stinking much... I was just fondly remembering the times we would sit in the Lounge for hours and hours for no apparent reason and have such a lovely time of it. I really do miss you Matthew Lovell. I hope to make it to Tennessee sometime... and remember that there's always a door open to you in San Francisco.
