Refuge.

I have found a place where I can thrive - New Song Christian Fellowship. New Song hosts a weekly college gathering, Refuge. The vision of Refuge is to create "a place of restoration, recovery, and release." And that is just what I have found there within the walls of this place.
I have grown tired of cute church culture. New Song is counter culture - inspiring the fiercest faith I have found in my days as a believer.
Last night Refuge hosted its first annual Writers Night. The evening started with a time of worship. As this time was coming to a close, we were led into a song entitled No Sacrifice.
The lyrics (pardon the paraphrasing) went something like this:
How could I hoard a treasure
That You designed for free?
I give to You my future
as long as it may last.
I give to You my present.
I give to You my past.
For Your thoughts are higher than mine.
Your words are deeper than mine.
Your love is stronger than mine.
This is no sacrifice.
Here's my life.
No need for embellishment here. What could anything I have to say actually add to those few lines?
I left that time of worship clinging to a little less stuff. A lot less stuff. I now know the value of empty hands - hands that hoard no treasure.
God uses the empty hands.

You have a riveting web log and undoubtedly
must have atypical & quiescent potential for
your intended readership. May I suggest that
you do everything in your power to honor
your Designer/Architect as well as your audience.
Please remember to never restrict anyone's
opportunities for ascertaining uninterrupted
existence for their quintessence.
Best wishes for continued ascendancy,
